Dutch Oven Blackberry Cobbler

Ingredients
  

For the Blueberry Mixture

  • 5 cups frozen blueberries
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp butter melted

For the Cobbler Topping

  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar + 2 tsp divided
  • ¼ cup butter softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg

Instructions
 

  • Lightly grease Dutch oven with butter. Add blackberries, vanilla, lemon juice, sugar and mix. Sprinkle with flour followed by the butter.
  • In a medium sized mixing bowl, combine all cobbler topping ingredients (except for 2 tsp sugar cinnamon and nutmeg) and allow to rest for 10 minutes.
  • Scoop topping onto the fruit mixture. In a small bowl, mix together 2 tsp sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg and sprinkle on top.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until top is golden. Serve with vanilla ice cream and enjoy!
