When it comes to birthdays, I am always up for a themed celebration. In fact, when I host most of my parties, it always centers around a theme. I think having one central theme is much easier for deciding on the food and décor aspect.
This year, my youngest was turning two, so I explored some birthday ideas for him. As I did my research, I stumbled on some great “Two Infinity and Beyond” birthday inspo. The best part? Toy Story is my youngest’s absolute favorite movie, so it was a very good fit to celebrate his second birthday!
Details From Our Two Infinity and Beyond Birthday
Here are some of the elements we included in our Two Infinity and Beyond Birthday party:
Alien cupcakes (inspired by the claw vending machine aliens in the movie!)
- Popcorn in classic popcorn cups
- Colorful balloons
- Birthday streamer with patterns inspired by the Toy Story movies (Made by yours truly!)
- Our kids’ favourite candies
- Toy Story toys on the table
A Smaller Birthday Celebration
Our boys’ birthdays are only a few days apart, so we actually held two celebrations in a very short time frame. We decided to make this Toy Story birthday party a more intimate one, and only involved direct family from my side. This party was then followed by a very large party that involved school friends (over 60 people showed up!) the next day. It was a superhero-themed party and it turned out incredible – you can read all about it here!
How to Set Up a Party Table
When it comes putting together party tables (often referred to as sweet tables when they centre around the dessert aspect of a party), it’s important to have a central focus. I often use a cake or themed cupcakes, then build the table from there. I like using sets of bowls and plates across the board (so the same bowl types, the same plate types, etc.) to create consistency.
For our Toy Story Party, I filled up the space with some Toy Story toys.
The Cutest Toy Story-Inspired Cupcakes
Besides the toys and the color theme, the one theme-specific element for our Two Infinity and Beyond Party were our Alien Cupcakes – inspired by the claw vending machine characters in the beloved movie.
